In his role as Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Dirk Adriaenssen has overall responsibility for all strategic and operational real estate activities – from investment and transaction management to portfolio, asset, and construction management, as well as ESG and property management. With his many years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the Swiss real estate market, he ensures the sustainable, value-oriented, and efficient development of the Helvetica portfolios.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate sector in various European markets, including ten years in Switzerland. Dirk Adriaenssen has extensive knowledge of various asset classes such as retail, office and residential real estate.

Prior to joining Helvetica, he was involved in the integration of the corporate real estate of Credit Suisse in the portfolio of UBS on an advisory basis. Previously, he was Country Managing Director Switzerland and Central Europe for Redevco, one of the largest privately owned investment management companies in Europe. In this position he successfully managed commercial real estate portfolios with a focus on redevelopment and achieving ambitious sustainability targets.

He holds a Master's degree in Law from the University of Brussels, has completed various specialised real estate courses, and is accredited as MRICS.
